I'm a Cornwall-born food and travel writer based in Penzance, twenty minutes along the coast from St Ives. I trained in professional kitchens in Bristol before turning to writing, and spent six years as a freelance contributor covering regional dining and coastal tourism for the South West press. These days I write independently, focusing on the restaurants, producers and small harbour towns that make west Cornwall worth the drive. I'm happiest when a story starts with a plate of something local and ends somewhere I didn't expect to find.
